Although the Driver is formed from hardened steel, always wear eye protection and use a soft faced or dead blow hammer to avoid mushrooming the top of the driver and possible injuries associated with using steel hammers. AVOID COSTLY ERRORS When hand-striking pours wider than 10' to 12' we recommend using AccuScreed or MegaScreed for maximum quality and cost effectiveness. Problems associated with wet screeding or screeding too wide are as follows: inaccuracy, loss of quality due to high slump associated with wet screeding and time lost from slow setting concrete. Using AccuScreed or MegaScreed produces a faster screeding operation with excellent flatness results. Additionally, a screed pipe is virtually maintainance free whereas 2' x 4's require oiling and are costly.
