Advantages of the AccuScreed System:
1) Enables user to pour concrete with less slump
A. Less water means stronger, longer lasting concrete that is less likely to fail slump cone or break testing.
B. Decreases required finishing time resulting in labor savings.
C. This allows for easier finishing with less agitation, bleed-off, aggregate separation, and shrinkage.
2) Once the screed elevation is set, no reworking, or remeasuring is necessary
A. This saves expensive, unnecessary labor time which is commonly wasted by dedicating a laborer to constantly monitor wet pad/bench elevations. This improves jobsite profits, and assures flatter end results.
B. Allows users to set accurate elevation without variance as with tape measure reading errors or damaged stakes.
C. Eliminates costly low or high spots in finished concrete that are associated with other screeding methods.
3) Uses standard 1/2" EMT conduit for screed stakes
A. Can be set in all types of subgrades.
B. Sets faster by 3 to 1 compared to other methods.
C. Conduit is less expensive than steel or wood, and can be recycled from demolition sites or from electrical scrap.
4) Allows user versatility
A. Can be used with power screeds, concrete pumps, vibratory screeds, or when hand striking concrete.
B. Use for slab on grade, pavers, resurfacing, wood or steel decks, vapor barriers, precast concrete, and for radiant heating installation.
C. Removal of pipe and/or power screed is not necessary while adjusting for correction or specific runoffs.
5) Designed to eliminate usage errors or problems
A. To assure accuracy, the Driver's height indicator is an 8 penny nail that is easily replaced at the job site if damaged.
B. The highly visible, light weight Yokes are virtually unbreakable. They are adjustable, and will not expand, contract, float, or deteriorate and are made to be left in the pour.
C. Screed sets remain accurate regardless of the angle the conduit stake had been cut, or direction a Yoke set is turned.
6) Extremely cost effective
A. When using our System, the average cost of Yokes left in the pour is less than 1¢ per square foot!
B. Eliminates the wasted time and energy spent by strip forming instead of pouring projects monolithically.
C. Saves fuel from hauling less forming materials, and labor from less trips to the truck at clean up time.
